Alice Gregori

Alice Gregori was born and raised at Lake Idro in Northern Italy, surrounded by mountains, forests, and a family deeply connected to the land. Growing up on a small family farm, with a father who kept bees, she learned early a way of life shaped by simplicity, seasonality, and respect for natural resources. Long before sustainability became part of her professional interests, it was simply part of how her family lived.

Throughout her life, Alice has followed different paths — from volunteer and nonprofit work to entrepreneurship — but always with a common thread: caring for people and their well-being. Over time, she came to understand more deeply something she had instinctively felt since childhood: our well-being cannot be separated from the health of the natural world we inhabit.

When Alice and her husband, Luigi, moved to California, they chose once again to build their life close to nature. At their home and small farm in Woodside, they grow food, care for their animals, and try to live as consciously and sustainably as possible. Experiencing the extraordinary beauty and scale of the American landscape — while also seeing the growing challenges of coexistence between people and wildlife — inspired Alice and Luigi to turn their concern into action.

Through Alluba Conservation, Alice brings these parts of her life together, guided by a simple belief: protecting wildlife and ecosystems also means protecting our own future, and preserving the sense of wonder that first teaches us to care for nature.
