Luigi Bajetti

Born in Italy and now based in California, Luigi Bajetti developed a deep appreciation for the natural world from an early age. Growing up, his parents nurtured his love of travel and exploration, taking him to mountains, forests, coastlines, and wild places across Europe and beyond. Those experiences instilled a lifelong sense of wonder, adventure, and respect for the natural world that continues to guide him today. As he grew older, exploration became more than a pastime. Whether hiking in the Dolomites, photographing wildlife in the American West, fly fishing remote rivers, or spending quiet time in nature, Luigi has always been drawn to wild places and the perspective they offer.

An entrepreneur and venture capitalist by profession, Luigi founded six companies before becoming an early-stage investor. His experience building organizations and supporting founders has shaped his long-term approach to creating institutions that endure.

Outside of his professional life, Luigi has dedicated countless hours to wildlife photography, conservation travel, and volunteer service. As a member of The Marine Mammal Center's Rescue & Response team, he has participated in the rescue and care of marine wildlife, reinforcing his conviction that protecting nature is both a privilege and a responsibility.

Together with his wife, Alice, Luigi founded Alluba Conservation to transform a lifelong passion into a lasting philanthropic legacy. They envision to support the protection of wildlife and ecosystems while inspiring a deeper relationship between people and nature—helping ensure that future generations inherit not only thriving landscapes, but also the desire to protect them.
